Order Terms & Conditions

A clear agreement for your custom build—from the quote and deposit to delivery.

Updated October 15, 2026 · United States orders

1. Your written order comes first

Before you pay, we confirm your enclosure details, price, deposit, remaining balance, pickup or shipping charges, and expected ship or pickup date in writing. Your quote or order confirmation identifies the subwoofers, dimensions, material, finish, and other agreed features. Ask us about anything that is unclear before paying. A quote request alone does not reserve a build.

These terms and the linked return and shipping policies apply to new orders when presented and accepted before payment. A specific written agreement for your order controls where it differs, subject to applicable law. These updates do not change earlier orders or repayment agreements retroactively. Later website changes do not rewrite an accepted order.

2. Deposits and balance payments

Your deposit amount is stated in your individual quote and counts toward the order total. It authorizes us to begin the agreed design, material purchasing, and build process. It is not a separate fee or an automatic forfeiture of all money paid.

Unless we agree otherwise in writing, the remaining balance and confirmed shipping charges are due before shipment or pickup. Pay only the amount we have confirmed, using the payment details on this site or your written order. Include your name and order details in the payment note. Payment-provider terms and protections also apply.

3. Measurements and design approval

Provide accurate vehicle, subwoofer, and amplifier details, maximum enclosure space, the smallest opening the box must pass through, and relevant obstacles. We will confirm the final dimensions and specifications with you before construction. Review these carefully and tell us about changes.

If we build to the approved specifications, changes needed because of incorrect customer-supplied measurements or later equipment changes may cost extra. Errors made by BassWave Boxes are handled under our Return & Refund Policy. Approval does not excuse our workmanship or specification errors.

4. Changes and custom finishes

Request changes as soon as possible. Once materials are committed or construction starts, a change may require additional work, materials, or time. We will explain any revised price and timeline and obtain your agreement before proceeding with the change.

Hand-applied paint and splatter patterns vary from box to box. Photos illustrate a style unless a specific match is agreed in writing. Approved dimensions, construction, and features still need to match your order.

5. Build dates and delays

Your written order states the expected shipment or pickup date. Build time and carrier transit time are separate. If we cannot meet the agreed shipment date, we will notify you promptly with a revised date when available and offer the choice to agree to the delay or cancel for a full refund of the unshipped order. If the required consent is not obtained, we will cancel and refund as required by law. These refunds are not reduced by custom-build cancellation charges.

We issue legally required shipping-delay refunds within seven working days of cancellation, or sooner if required. If no shipment timeframe is stated, the applicable federal 30-day shipment rule applies. Calling a timeline an estimate does not remove these obligations.

6. Cancellations and completed boxes

Contact us promptly to cancel. If no work has been performed and no materials have been committed to your order, we refund the amount paid. If separately approved design work, construction, or material commitments have occurred, any cancellation deduction must reflect reasonable, documented losses that the agreement and applicable law permit. We provide an itemized explanation and account for recoverable, reusable, or resold materials to avoid charging the same loss twice. No automatic penalty applies merely because a deposit was paid.

Completed custom enclosures that match the approved order are not accepted for change-of-mind returns or exchanges. Cancellation before delivery is assessed under the cancellation rules above; completion does not automatically authorize keeping every payment. These limits do not remove remedies for defects, incorrect orders, shipping damage, our failure to perform, or other rights under applicable law. See the full return and cancellation policy.

7. Shipping, installation, and performance

We confirm the shipping charge and delivery arrangements for your order. See our Shipping & Damage Policy for delivery inspection and support. Shipping insurance or a carrier claim does not replace our responsibilities to you.

Secure the enclosure properly and use appropriate installation, wiring, amplifier settings, and safe listening levels. Contact us if you need clarification on the agreed enclosure specifications. Output depends on the complete system, vehicle, installation, and settings; a particular sound-pressure score or competition result is not promised unless expressly agreed in writing.

8. Help and your rights

If something is wrong, contact us with your order details and photos so we can assess it and arrange an appropriate solution. These terms do not exclude nonwaivable consumer rights or any warranty required by law. Any separate written warranty remains applicable. You retain applicable payment-provider dispute rights. We do not require arbitration or waive your right to seek an available legal remedy.
